Felix Ritchie on the Five Safes model of data access
Thursday 18 February 2016
Professor Felix Ritchie, from Bristol Economic Analysis at the University of the West of England, has released a co-authored working paper on the 'Five Safes' model for managing access to sensitive data (including government-held administrative data). Professor Ritchie worked on this model - including presenting a seminar - while visiting the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods in 2015.
The Australian Data Archive, based within the Centre, is promoting the adoption of the 'Five Safes' model within Australia.
